Loire Valley and castles
The Loire valley is a beautiful region along the Loire River and well known for dozens of amazing castles and gardens mostly built by French kings and aristocracy. It is easily accessible from all of France; and the area is particularly famous for its cheeses such as Crottin de Chavignol, usually served coated in fresh herbs, its river fish like Sandre, served with a white butter sauce, and of course with its famous wines like Vouvray, Sancerre, Montlouis, Bourgueuil or Chinon.
