KYRGYZSTAN - Son-Kul lake
Also spelled Song Kul or Son Kul.
Song Kul is a high alpine lake in the Tian Shan Mountains and is the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan. Its area is 278 sq. km. It is situated in a valley between two mountain ranges at the altitude of 3016 m.
Song Kul one of the top destinations in Kyrgyzstan well worth the bumpy ride.
In summer, many nomads settle everywhere around the lake with their horses, cows and sheep which enjoy the rich grass.
